Adam J. Bard, M.D.

Board-Certified Internal Medicine Specialist

Dr. Adam J. Bard is a highly respected, board certified Internist practicing medicine since 2001.  After graduating with honors and having been named the Honorary 100,000th graduate of the State University of New York at Albany in 1994, he pursued his medical degree at the Albany Medical College, in Albany, New York.  Graduating in 1998, he continued his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York.

As an undergraduate, Dr. Bard participated in and helped shape and develop research studies through the nationally renowned Center for Stress and Anxiety Disorders.  It was here that what would be the earliest foundations for his practice philosophy were formed.   Mind and body interact in unique and complex ways and the practitioner must strive to treat both in order to effect the most successful and enduring outcomes.

Prior to opening his practice in Fairfield, Connecticut in May of 2006, Dr. Bard was the senior associate at one of Manhattan’s largest multi-specialty medical practices on the Upper East Side. He was also on staff as a clinician and faculty member at several of New York’s most prestigious medical centers.

Currently, Dr. Bard is a teaching attending and clinician on staff at Bridgeport Hospital and St Vincents.  He has stayed at the forefront of medicine with a cutting edge practice having modern technological advances coupled with the most up to date research, all of which is made available to patients on a daily basis.
