Meagan Carroll entered the medical field more than 10 years ago as a Nursing Assistant, and her passion to help others, coupled with her desire to continue her education, allowed her to advance her nursing career quickly.  She earned her Registered Nurse credentials and continued her studies to become a Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Master’s Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing from Western Connecticut State University, and is certified through the American Nurse Credentialing Center as an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. 

Before joining, Adam Bard, M.D., LLC, most recently Meagan was the Primary Care/Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner at Alliance Medical Group in Naugatuck, CT. She has taken part in extensive training through clinical practicums with Northeast Medical Group (NEMG), The Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and in private practice. This training provided her with strong knowledge in Primary Care/Internal Medicine as well as specialties including Diabetes, Urology, Rheumatology, and Palliative care. Meagan is also a Certified DOT Medical Examiner and Certified in Medication Assisted Therapy for Opiate Use Disorder.

Prior to working as a Nurse Practitioner, Meagan gained experience as an RN in hospital, home care, and long term care settings, and has worked on many initiatives focused on improving clinical outcomes and patient care.

Meagan says, “It is my philosophy that each patient is a unique and special individual, deserving the focused attention that their health requires. As a Nurse Practitioner, I have a responsibility to the public to provide safe, holistic, patientcentered care.”
